Before I started my journey into Salesforce, automation, and business technology, I had the opportunity to work in an environment where every customer interaction, financial transaction, and operational decision directly impacted business performance.

From April 2022 to March 2023, I worked at Fathima Tyres, an exclusive multi-brand Tyre dealership that served customers ranging from individual bike owners to heavy vehicle operators.

It was a fast-moving business environment where inventory, finance, sales, and customer relationships had to work together every day.

This experience taught me that a successful business is not only about selling products. It is equally about managing cash flow, maintaining customer trust, and building efficient systems behind the scenes.

One of the most interesting aspects of this role was the variety of products and customers we handled. We worked with leading tyre brands and served both B2C customers and B2B businesses.

Every day brought different challenges. Some customers needed immediate replacements for damaged tyres, while others required support for ongoing commercial operations.

I gradually learned that every customer purchase represented a bigger story. For heavy vehicle operators, a delayed replacement could affect an entire business operation.

This experience helped me understand the importance of responsiveness and customer support.

Although my title included both Accountant and Sales Executive responsibilities, my work extended far beyond those roles.

I handled in-house sales activities, inventory management, display marketing, customer support, and one of the most important areas of the business: accounts receivable management.

Credit sales are common in many businesses, but outstanding payments can quickly become a major challenge if they are not managed carefully.

One of my key responsibilities was following up on outstanding receivables and helping reduce overdue balances through consistent communication and relationship management.

That experience taught me that financial discipline is just as important as sales performance.

I also worked closely with data every day. We used Microsoft Excel and Tally to manage inventory records, financial transactions, accounts receivable, stock management, and bank reconciliation activities.

At the time, these tools simply helped us run daily operations. Looking back now, I realize they introduced me to concepts that are fundamental to modern business technology.

I was already learning how businesses depend on accurate data, organized systems, and reliable processes.

Customer satisfaction was another important part of the business. We handled customer tickets and processed claims as quickly as possible to ensure a positive customer experience.

I learned that customers often remember how businesses solve problems more than the original purchase itself.

Building trust after a problem occurs can be even more valuable than making the first sale.

Another unique part of this journey was working with tyre rethreading businesses. These businesses purchase used tyres, restore their grip, and extend their lifespan for future use.

This introduced me to a different side of the business ecosystem and showed me how industries create value through partnerships and sustainability practices.

Looking back today, I realize this role was preparing me for much more than accounting and sales.

I was learning customer relationship management, financial operations, data organization, inventory systems, and process management long before I started learning Salesforce.

Today, when I explore CRM systems and automation platforms, I can connect technology to real business situations because I have experienced those challenges firsthand.

This journey taught me that businesses run on more than products and transactions.

They run on trust, accurate data, healthy cash flow, and systems that keep customers moving forward.

That understanding continues to shape the way I approach Salesforce, automation, and business technology today.
